Basic Kodi Setup Guide: Installing Fen Light Add-On, CocoScrapers, and Fentastic Skin

Kodi + Fen Lite Setup Guide Featured Image

This guide combines steps from various sources to save you time setting up Kodi with Fen Light, CocoScrapers, and the Fentastic Skin. Special thanks to the Kodi team and developers of these add-ons.

Step 1: Install and Configure Kodi

  1. Download Kodi: Install the native application for your device from the official Kodi download page.

  2. Initial Setup: Open Kodi and click Settings. Set "Expert" in the bottom-left corner to access all settings.

    • Player Settings:
      • Language > Preferred Audio Language: Set to your preferred language.
      • Language > Preferred Subtitle Language: Set to "Forced Only."
    • Media Settings:
      • General > Show Parent Folder Items: Off
    • Interface Settings:
      • Regional: Set regional settings as preferred.
    • System Settings:
      • Add-ons > Show Notifications: On
      • Add-ons > Unknown Sources: On
      • Add-ons > Update Official Add-ons From: Set to "Any Repositories."

Kodi is now installed and configured.

Step 2: Install Fen Light Add-On

  1. Click the cog icon at the top left of the Home Screen.
  2. File Manager > Add Source.
  3. Enter https://tikipeter.github.io/packages as the URL and "fenlight" as the name. Press OK.
  4. Go back to Settings > Add-ons > Install from Zip File.
  5. Select "fenlight" > plugin.video.fenlight-x.x.x.zip to install the repository.

Fen Light is now installed.

Step 3: Install CocoScrapers Add-On

  1. Cog icon > File Manager > Add Source.
  2. Enter https://cocojoe2411.github.io as the URL and "cocoscrapers" as the name. Press OK.
  3. Return to Add-ons > Install from Zip File.
  4. Select "cocoscrapers" > repository.cocoscrapers-x.x.x.zip to install the repository.
  5. Go to Install from Repository > CocoScrapers Repository > Program Add-ons.
  6. Select CocoScrapers Module and press Install.

CocoScrapers is now installed.

Step 4: Enable CocoScrapers in Fen Light

  1. Open Fen Light > Tools > Settings.
  2. Select the Accounts tab and enable External Scrapers.
  3. Press Choose External Scrapers Module and select CocoScrapers Module.
  4. After selecting, you'll see a success message.

CocoScrapers is now enabled in Fen Light.

Step 5: Authorize Real Debrid in Kodi

  1. Open Fen Light > Tools > Settings.
  2. Select the Accounts tab and click Authorize: Real Debrid.
  3. Copy the authorization code.
  4. Visit Real Debrid in a browser, enter the code, and type "Fen Light" as the device name.
  5. Back in Kodi, confirm the success message.

Your Real Debrid account is now authorized in Fen Light.

Step 6: Authorize Trakt in Kodi

  1. Open Fen Light > Tools > Settings.
  2. Select the Accounts tab and click Authorize: Trakt.
  3. Copy the authorization code.
  4. Go to Trakt in a browser, enter the code, and authorize Fen Light.
  5. Back in Kodi, confirm the success notification.

Your Trakt account is now authorized in Fen Light.

Step 7: Install the Fentastic Skin

  1. Cog icon > File Manager > Add Source.
  2. Enter https://ivarbrandt.github.io/repository.ivarbrandt as the URL and "fentastic" as the name. Press OK.
  3. Go to Settings > Add-ons > Install from Zip File.
  4. Select "fentastic" > repository.ivarbrandti-x.x.x.zip to install the repository.
  5. Navigate to Install from Repository > ivarbrandt's Repository > Look and Feel > Skin.
  6. Select Fentastic and press Install.

The Fentastic Skin is now installed in Kodi. You can get the detailed configuration of theme here
